On the way to Delphi, after the city of Livadia, we will stop at one of the most important Byzantine monuments in Greece, the monastery of Saint Luke. It was built in the 11th century at an altitude of 430m and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Then, before we reach Delphi, we meet one of the most enchanting villages in mountainous Greece, the cosmopolitan Arachova, which has many cafes, shops with local products and views that will leave you breathless.
In Delphi we will see the famous Delphi oracle, the most famous in that time, both in ancient Greece and in the rest of the world. It was dedicated to the god of prophecy and divine art, Apollo.
The point that was built is considered the navel of the earth (center of the world), because according to mythology, Jupiter had left two eagles, one in the east and one in the west, which were intended to meet in Delphi. As you tour, you will also discover the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian treasure, and enter the Delphi Archaeological Museum.
