The coastal route to Sounio is one of the most beautiful routes that can be made from Athens, since in our course, we will pass by Vouliagmeni, Saronida, and Lagonisi where their beaches "embrace" Attica.
Arriving in Sounio, you will see the imposing temple of Poseidon, which was built in the 5th century BC. The temple was originally built at the beginning of the century, but was destroyed by the Persians, during the ‘’Midian’’ War.

At the base of one of the columns of the temple is engraved the name of Lord Byron, who is considered one of the greatest English poets.
After taking the necessary photos and creating new memories, then, you will dine in a traditional tavern of the area. After lunch, we will depart for Lake Vouliagmeni, a real treasure of nature and an important attraction of the Athenian Riviera.
The great thing about the lake is that it has healing properties. Its waters range in temperature from 22 to 29 degrees Celsius throughout the year. There you will be able to relax before returning to Athens, as the combination of green vegetation with the thermal waters, offer peace and tranquility.
